This clock combines the art of mina work on copper and khatam work on wood. The clock face is made of copper that has been decorated with mina and then baked in a kiln, while the frame is made of wood that has been khatam worked of the highest quality, known as Khatam Al-Ala Salibi. Khatam work is an authentic Iranian art and an exclusive art of Isfahan that has not aged over time and its variety keeps getting updated. Khatam is a combination of precious metals, special woods, and various bones. Metals such as copper and copper alloys (bronze and brass), and woods like walnut, jujube, maple, and pear, as well as bones like camel bone, which have been artistically cut into wire-like shapes, create beautiful geometric patterns combining triangles and various polygons. These shapes are arranged symmetrically and uniformly next to each other, showcasing a valuable, beautiful, and delicate covering for the copper or beech wood materials. Finally, a high-quality polyester coating on khatam products prevents color change, enhances shine, and increases durability. This piece can serve as a luxurious and exquisite gift for special individuals or be used decoratively and also practically.
