An example of this is water and oil; when we pour a mixture of oil and water into the reservoir of this device, it separates based on the density of the materials inside the container.
When we open the tap at the bottom of the container, the liquid with the higher density will be at the bottom and will exit the device until we reach the separation boundary of the liquids (oil and water). At this point, we close the tap, successfully separating the mixed liquids.
